So sorry that I'm still online on a rather frenetic schedule. Belated happy birthday! Consider this to have extended your birthday til the point you read this. :o)

I remember that Chris's birthday is February 8. So was Kim's, and we always celebrated her bithday for eight days, starting on the first. My idea, not hers. I always hoped that, in some way, it could make up for all the broken, empty birthdays from her childhood. I know such things can't really be made up for, but I hoped that treating her as the amazing, special person she is would help in some way. She was always excited about it, and liked to tell other people that her birthday wasn't contained to one day, but to eight. It seemed that it did make an impact!

Sort of getting off topic. I think you deserve the same kind of celebration of you. Maybe that sounds weird when I didn't manage to wish you happy birthday on the actual day, but it's still heartfelt. I love to make a big deal out of birthdays, but, despite that, I often really fall down when it comes to a person who isn't geographically close to me. With communications systems that defy what we could have imagined when I was a child, you'd think I'd be better at it, wouldn't you? My wishes are no less heartfelt, though!

I hope the year to come makes all your dreams come true!
